Using TV Ads to Get More Clients and Customers

Has your business run TV ads before?

I produced and directed this ad for David Allen & Associates in East Sacramento back in February. David has been running TV ads like this and finding new clients with them for more than 10 years. Some of you who have been living in Sacramento might recognize him.

While working with David it was clear that he is passionate about what he does and extremely knowledgeable about the law. It’s no surprise he’s been running a successful law firm for the last 40+ years. What you might not know from watching this though is that he has a background in radio. In my opinion, his voiceover skills are quite impressive and his clarity and tone help make the difference for an engaging ad.

David also wrote the ad. Writing a good 15-second ad seems simple, but is actually quite difficult. The basic structure of this particular ad is as follows:

1. A Unique and Specific Problem — to the client or customer base
2. Escalation of that Problem — or heightening of the drama
3. Solution — The business, service, product, et cetera
4. Call to Action - Contact Me/Us

To pare all this information down to 15-seconds AND make it engaging is no small task. My hat’s off to you, David!

My job on this project was to elevate the look of the past ads. To bring a higher degree of production quality and update his public image. Also, thank you to my small but mighty crew in creating this!

What do you think of the ad? Could TV ads help grow your business?
